A Malaysian state plans to ban shark fishing in a bid to bolster tourism and promote conservation. Masidi Manjun, Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister in eastern Sabah state on the island of Borneo, said local activists and foreign tourists had complained about shark finning activities by local fishermen.
